Bravecto® is a veterinary-prescribed medication providing extended protection against fleas and ticks in cats through a single topical application.
Bravecto® contains fluralaner, an isoxazoline class compound that inhibits the nervous systems of fleas and ticks, leading to their death upon ingestion. It offers two primary formulations:
| Indications | -Flea Treatment and Prevention: Kills adult fleas and prevents flea infestations. |

| Contraindications | -Not recommended for cats with a history of neurologic disorders, as isoxazoline class drugs have been associated with neurologic adverse reactions, including tremors, ataxia, and seizures. |
| Dosage | Bravecto® Topical Solution: Apply a single dose topically between the shoulder blades once every 12 weeks. Dosage is based on body weight: 6.2–13.8 lbs: 250 mg 13.8–27.5 lbs: 500 mg For cats over 27.5 lbs, use a combination of tubes to achieve the appropriate dose. |
| Storage | -Store at room temperature between 59°F and 77°F (15°C and 25°C). |
