Apoquel® contains oclacitinib, a Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitor that targets specific cytokines involved in the inflammatory and pruritic pathways. By inhibiting these cytokines, Apoquel® effectively reduces itching and inflammation in dogs suffering from allergic skin conditions. It offers rapid relief, often within 4 hours, and can be administered long-term under veterinary supervision.

| Dosage | Dosage for Dogs: Initial Therapy: Administer 0.4–0.6 mg/kg body weight, orally, twice daily for up to 14 days. Dosage for Cats: The safety and efficacy of Apoquel® in cats have not been established; therefore, its use in feline patients is not recommended. |
