Bravecto® Cat

Bravecto® contains fluralaner, an isoxazoline class compound that inhibits the nervous systems of fleas and ticks, leading to their death upon ingestion. It offers two primary formulations:

Bravecto® Topical Solution: Provides 12 weeks of protection against fleas and certain tick species.
Bravecto® Plus: Extends protection to include heartworm prevention and treatment of intestinal parasites for 2 months.

Indications	-Flea Treatment and Prevention: Kills adult fleas and prevents flea infestations. -Tick Treatment and Control: Effective against black-legged ticks and Asian longhorned ticks for 12 weeks; also kills American dog ticks for 8 weeks. -Heartworm Prevention (Bravecto® Plus): Prevents heartworm disease caused by Dirofilaria immitis. -Treatment of Intestinal Parasites (Bravecto® Plus): Treats roundworm (Toxocara cati) and hookworm (Ancylostoma tubaeforme) infections.
Contraindications	-Not recommended for cats with a history of neurologic disorders, as isoxazoline class drugs have been associated with neurologic adverse reactions, including tremors, ataxia, and seizures. -Safety has not been established in breeding, pregnant, and lactating cats. -Not suitable for kittens less than 6 months of age or weighing less than 2.6 pounds.
Dosage	Bravecto® Topical Solution: Apply a single dose topically between the shoulder blades once every 12 weeks. Dosage is based on body weight: 2.6–6.2 lbs: 112.5 mg 6.2–13.8 lbs: 250 mg 13.8–27.5 lbs: 500 mg For cats over 27.5 lbs, use a combination of tubes to achieve the appropriate dose.
Storage	-Store at room temperature between 59°F and 77°F (15°C and 25°C). -Protect from moisture and light. -Keep out of reach of children and pets.
